January 2018: Joe Bagshaw

Well done Joe for going above and beyond at Syngenta!

Fantastic feedback from Joe's manager:

"First of all, I think that the Gold Award is a great idea. It is wonderful to have a way able to officially recognise the great work from Guidant workers.

I’d like to nominate Joe Bagshaw for the award. Joe is a Field Trialist, who has been working within the UK Commercial Unit to deliver field trials. Our trials are vital to producing the data, demonstrations and visuals that support the sales of our products and demonstrate our expertise to our customers. We couldn’t have been more delighted with Joe’s approach to work and his capabilities. Despite only just graduating from university, he demonstrated an ability to work both independently and with colleagues to deliver real benefits to Syngenta. For example, Joe has used his own initiative to drill seed treated with our new seed treatment Vibrance Duo in to different cultivations situations and set up time lapse cameras to capture the benefits of our new technology. This material has and will be used widely across the Syngenta Sales Team to help sell the product and as importantly, demonstrate our expertise to our customers.  Please see a small selection verbatim comments from Joe’s colleagues below:
Some comments

  • Adopting a 'can-do' attitude, even in the face of adversity (broken finger!) – Joe was able to work around this to find solutions to still deliver results.
  • Using his initiative to establish trials; along with self-sufficiency in carrying out the role, utilising assistance from colleagues where needed.
  • Interacting well with local area managers as well as trials colleagues.;
  • Proactively suggesting actions and trials inputs (eg use of our own drill to establish plots, this saving on contractor fees).

I very much hope that, we can recognise Joe."
