Our client, a large international and world leading company in manufacturing sector seeks an experienced and proactive Mechanical Technician to support Operations by providing the necessary engineering skills to safely maintain all site equipment, in accordance to engineering standards. You will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance activities of the plant, therefore the ability to conduct effective diagnostic skills, on a wide range of plant and equipment is required. Due to the secure nature of the site you will need to provide five years of work references and undertake a credit check. You will be required to work a rotating shift pattern working 5 days (7am-7:00pm) with following 4 days off.
Skills and Experience:Preferably qualified HNC, C&G, B-TECH in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent level of experience and/or qualificationDemonstrable competence in a wide range of engineering skills and disciplines including, Pump, Vacuum and steam systems, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Plastic & glass pipeworkExcellent fault finding and diagnostic skills, on a wide range of plant and equipmentBasic workshop skills including, fabricating, welding & machiningTeam player able to support other disciplines if requiredSkilled and confident communicator who can clearly present ideas and solutionsDemonstrable strong health & safety awarenessWorking knowledge of MS Office
