About the client
Our client based here in Royston is a FTSE 100 employer, and manufacturer of specialty chemical products for various industries. The organisation truly is a leader within its respective field(s), with a long 200-year history, and operations spanning the globe. The Refining and Chemicals business recycles manufacturing residues from internal clients where that content is believed to have any Platinum Group Metals (PGM) content. Providing a PGM recycling service to external customers across a wide range of industries. We are the largest secondary refiner of PGM's in the world and a major contributor to overall provision of these precious metals to the market place.
To represent the maintenance planning function to the client on a project to deliver a new CMMS to the business.
The role will ensure the system is built in a way that reflects the clients maintenance work flows and captures the data needed to drive maintenance performance.
The individual will join the business and work alongside existing maintenance planners for a defined period of time to understand the current system -e.g. how the equipment is set up, how the BOMs are built, how the schedules are set up etc
The individual will then report to the project for the remainder of the contract. There will be a requirement to link back to the maintenance planners on a regular basis in order to ensure deliverables are being met.
Other responsibilities include (but not limited to)
Ensure the CMMS project deliverables are met in line with the project team and timeline.
* Learn the maintenance planning process for JM.
* Drive continuous improvement of the maintenance planning process
* Represent the planning function during the project phase
* Provide first line support to CMMS end users (planners)
* Develop and deliver training to improve business stakeholder's awareness.
* Formulate and agree policy and best practices to identify criteria for evaluating project design and implementation.
* Liaise weekly with the maintenance planners to discuss progress/ concerns.
Candidates must have-
A diploma or equivalent in an engineering discipline , or apprentice trained
at least 3 years experience in a similar role
good knowledge of CMMS
