Our client in Grantham are currently looking for Support Workers. The purpose of these services are to transform the lives of Lincolnshire's most vulnerable young people and our vision is to ensure every young person in our services are given the support they need to have a chance at a brighter future. Their services in Grantham have bespoke working arrangements that support young people from the age of 16 who are homeless or are threatened with homelessness. The services are staffed on a 24 hour basis, 7 days per week and young people and young parents are supported on a needs led basis. They are currently recruiting creative, vibrant, innovative and highly motivated individuals with a strong desire to deliver outcomes and make a difference to the lives of young people in an exciting but challenging environment. You will need excellent interpersonal skills mixed with a good understanding of issues young people face. The role will involve planning and delivering support that has a direct impact on the lives of each young person. Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential. The successful applicant will be required to offer advice, guidance and practical support to young people to help them work towards their goals in life. These may be in relation to; having their own accommodation, Training/education/employment or being a good parent. Therefore the successful candidate will respond to young people's needs and offer holistic support. You will be able to work flexible shift patterns, which will include weekend and late evening duties. The successful candidate will work as part of a 24 hours rota, averaging 40 hours per week. They will be required to work 8 hour shifts between 8am-11pm, and two weekend in a five week period A DBS check will be required for this role. Who are they?
