Our client is currently looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor/Auditor to join them in either their head office in either Birmingham or Sheffield.
The purpose of the job is to ensure that their health & safety strategy, management systems and policies & procedures are compliant with its legal responsibilities and represent good practice. You will also need to ensure that relevant and effective advice is given to line management to ensure compliance with health and safety policy and procedural requirements are met in all aspects of the clients work.
You will be required to recommend, agree and execute a programme of independent audits that provides assurance that compliance throughout the organisation is satisfactory, ensuring that line management take swift and effective remedial action as appropriate.
You will drive the improvement of Health and Safety policy, procedures and practice throughout the organisation by championing Health and Safety at all levels, effective engagement with all Directorates both daily at a working level and via Health and Safety Management Groups and Health and Safety Committee
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety practitioner with a NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent), ideally with exposure to audit processes.
The successful applicant should be prepared to travel away from their base location for around 50% of their time and should possess a current clean driving licence.

A DBS check will be required for this role.
