Vacancy: Production Systems Coordinator

Location: Brimsdown

We are currently looking for a Production Systems Coordinator to ensure that the requirements of various critical systems are met through coordination with supporting departments.

The role will require the successful candidate to coordinate production aspects of ISO14001, COMAH, OSHAS18001 and other regulatory activities to ensure delivery against requirements. In addition, you will be working with the Site Production Manager to optimise action tracking and use of the Quality Management System. You will also be working alongside HR and L&D delivering standard work programmes as well as competency assessments.

Key responsibilities
  • Support a focus on Process Safety Management, Environmental compliance and general EHS, ensuring production actions are tracked and escalated

  • Act as a mentor and coach to Team Leaders and Operations teams to ensure that EHS and operating standards are continually improved

  • Coordinate all production related actions, ensuring resources and delivery optimised

  • Support the production team to schedule and deliver actions arising from various sources and stakeholders, ensuring work is resource planned to balance the day to day delivery requirements

  • Work with Engineering to help develop sustainable solutions to record plant asset information and ensure maintenance fault reporting is efficient

  • Introduce and coordinate a production reporting system to include shift handover, weekly / monthly reporting and KPI's to drive improvement and delivery

  • With the Production Delivery lead, assist in the coordination of a LEAN implantation programme ensuring suitable tracking is in place

  • Support the training and development of Production personnel to ensure skills and competence are improved

  • Coordinate the production and maintenance of production standard work documents and introduce a competency audit process to ensure procedures are effective in practice

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a Science or Engineering based subject or demonstrate equivalent experience

  • An ability to provide innovative solutions to problems

  • High level of numeracy, working with systems and data

  • Good understanding of general EHS management principles

  • Ability to build strategic working relationships

  • Ability to give and receive clear and unbiased information

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
