Project Engineer,Permanent,£30,000-£38,000+benefits,Royston Hertfordshire,

Guidant Group currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our clients production facilities to lead and manage projects and deliver engineering solutions for new product, process and equipment introductions, with the aim of establishing safe, efficient and robust manufacturing processes. This is a great opportunity to help to ensure we continue to make today's products with greater efficiency, reducing waste and preparing the way for the Royston plant to make the next generation of emissions controls products into the future.

Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer you are responsible for design, development and deployment of engineering solutions from Initiation through to Handover to the Operations teams.

Key accountabilities include:

1. In accordance with NPI and ePMO frameworks, deliver new products, process and equipment to Royston Operations.2. Support the project managers by delivering safe, efficient and robust engineering solutions for new product, process and equipment introductions. 3. Lead and contribute to hazard studies for the safe introduction of new products, processes and equipment. 4. Support the Project Sponsors in developing the URS (User Requirements Specifications) for new processes and equipment.5. Create FDS (Functional Design Specifications) and Plant Layouts for new processes and equipment.6. Work with external suppliers to create engineering solutions which are safe, efficient and robust.7. Conduct design reviews using DFMEA and DRBFM studies to identify the risks and formulate action and control plans for all new process and equipment introductions.8. Prepare detailed installation plans and coordinate the installation of processes and equipment in the production plant. 9. Produce FAT, SAT and commissioning plans and reports for all new processes and equipment.10. Conduct training exercises and provide training materials on new processing equipment and systems for all relevant personnel.11. Support the creation of VSOPs, SWES, OPL and training documentation for the safe and effective operation of new processing equipment and systems which are implemented.12. Inputs into continuous improvement initiatives.13. Leads technical issue resolution within specific area of expertise for complex problems, providing advice and support.14. Monitors, controls and closes projects in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure successful completion within project parameters.

Who are we ideally looking for?

* University education in an engineering discipline (chemical, process, mechanical, electrical, etc) * Experience in successful delivery of engineering projects in a manufacturing environment with experience of NPI or Industrialisation desired. * Knowledge of project management tools and the application, including visual planning. * Ability to lead and support projects in a multi-disciplinary and complex environment.* Good communication skills are required to work across a diverse range of functions.* Project management trained with experience of Prince2, PMI or APM desired.* Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety practices including COSHH, REACH and COMAH. * Understanding of Lean manufacturing practices and value stream mapping desired.* Knowledge of Quality Management Systems ISO16949, ISO14001 and ISO18001 desired.#

The role is working Monday to Friday, standard office hours, with a degree of flexibility required.
