About the role

The purpose of this post is to provide professional expertise on Local Planning Policy including Neighbourhood Planning within the Planning and Economic Growth Service to support the statutory Planning function, in particular contributing to meeting the Planning and Economic Growth Service workload to achieve its aims, objectives, statutory obligations and targets.

Key to your success in this role will be your enthusiasm and drive with ability to support the development of planning policies and strategies. You will need strong experience of operating statutory planning procedures and a sound understanding of planning legislation. You need demonstrable experience of developing planning policies for a development plan.
